Sometimes, our counselling or support sessions and / or other events have to be cancelled or rearranged. Our cancellation and refund policy are mentioned herewith, and it applies to all our services.
Fee and Payment Policy
1. All payments should be made prior to availing Life Essence services.
2. The user’s session booking(s) will not be confirmed until the payment is received by us.
3. Multiple-session package offerings are available on request and the information about the same may / may not be available on our website.
4. All purchases expire 12 months from the date of purchase.
5. The applicable Taxes shall not be refunded for any / all Products and / or Services.
Fee Information
The fee per session is dependent on the selected service and is exclusive of all the applicable taxes (if any). In case of taxes not applicable on certain services, the same shall be mentioned in the Invoice, and on the payment processing screen for your reference and understanding.
Offers and / or Discounts
1. Discounts and offers are available to all users.
2. Special offers may only be available for a limited time and can be withdrawn at any time.
3. All the discounts would require a code to be availed. The information of the discount code shall be made available based on its audience and tenure to all the intended audience.
Counselling or Support Sessions
Late arrival / missed sessions
In-person appointments
We book appointments based on mutual agreed schedules with you. We appreciate that you should reach on time. If you arrive early, we will ask you to wait until your appointment time. Similarly, if you arrive late, we cannot extend the session to compensate. If you are over 15 minutes late and have not contacted us, we will assume you are not coming and will consider that cancellation without notice.
Online / Telephone appointments
When the scheduled meeting is online or by telephone, we will call you (unless we agreed on something different) when the session is due to start. If the call is unanswered, we will try again a few moments later. If the second attempt fails, we would ask you to contact us when you can take the call, but the session will still run from the scheduled time.
If you have not contacted us within 15 minutes of the scheduled start, we shall consider that cancellation without notice. The technology we use for online and telephone counselling is very robust and rarely fails. Where it does, we will do our best to offer the appointment using another communication method. If we cannot deliver the session, and it is not our fault, we usually charge for the appointment or otherwise mutually agreed on something different.
Multi-Session Packages – Reschedule, Cancellation, Refund
For multi-session packages and sessions booked through the packages, Life Essence provides the user with the flexibility to
1. Reschedule individual session bookings
2. Cancel individual session bookings
3. Cancel and claim a refund on the package (The deductions shall apply same as mentioned for the single session ahead in the page)
Reschedule by the user
Life Essence provides the user with the flexibility to reschedule their sessions to a later time. Any rescheduling request will be processed based on the time at which the user requests Life Essence to reschedule with respect to the scheduled time of the session and is explained in the table below

Session Cancellation by the user
If the user wishes to cancel the session booking, the refund provided to the user will be decided based on when the cancellation was initiated and is explained in the table below

Exceptional circumstances
We recognize that emergencies happen, even if they are rare. If you know that you might not make an appointment, please let us know when you book it. We will try to be more accommodating in such circumstances. Similarly, if a genuine emergency prevented you from attending, and from letting us know, we could consider waiving or reducing the cancellation fee. Should you repeatedly make and cancel appointments, we might ask for a non-refundable pre-payment. We would not refund this payment, even if you cancel ahead of the defined time windows mentioned ahead in the page.
If we cancel
Occasionally, circumstances might prevent us from delivering a session as agreed. We will give you as much notice as possible if this happens. We will not charge you for appointments we cancel and will do our best to re-book at a time that best suits you.
Workshops and events
All workshop and event bookings are fully transferable but non-refundable. If you make a substitution, please let us know in advance, if possible so that we can produce attendance certificates in the correct name. Should you need to make a last-minute change, we will email a replacement certificate as soon as possible. If you do not attend a workshop or event you have paid for, and do not send a substitute, we will send you any resources you would have received.
If we must cancel or rearrange an event, we will give you full refund, the opportunity to switch to the alternative date/venue or credit against a future event.
Package Refund
For sessions booked from a multi-session package, the refund can only be initiated on the entire package or the unutilised balance of the entire package. A standard 25% deduction would be applied to all the refunds based on entire package or the unutilised balance of the entire package.
